I’m having problems updating the firmware on my ClariMate

If you’re having issues updating the firmware on your ClariMate, try the following:


Connecting your ClariMate to a computer via a USB hub can cause issues during firmware updates. For best results, connect your ClariMate to your computer directly.


If you are updating a ClariMate that has firmware in the 2.x.x. range or below to 3.x.x or higher, you will need to put your ClariMate into Safe Mode by following these steps:


  • Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons

  • While holding down the buttons, press and release the Power button

  • Continue to hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons until the yellow LED lights up


Once the ClariMate is turned on in safe mode, connect it via USB cable to the ClariMate app. From the Tools menu in the app, select Update Firmware.


Note that the firmware can only be updated via USB to a Windows or Mac computer. Linux and Chrome OS are not supported.
